West Dennis, petite in size but large in small-town character, is found in Barnstable County (also home to popular Yarmouth, Falmouth, Mashpee, and Sandwich), and boasts a beautiful 1 ½-mile stretch of sandy beach on the shores of Nantucket Sound. This historic village’s diverse landscape offers visitors a range of natural attractions; here you’ll be able to feel the sand between your toes on the sandy beaches, take an exploratory hike through one of its many nature trails (make sure to visit during the fall to experience the brightly colored foliage), or swim the silky, fresh waters of one of the many nearby Cape Cod lakes.
